Engage! Summit | The London Experience

I recently participated in a luxury wedding summit in London. For those who don’t know about Engage, it is a luxury wedding summit that hosts the world’s best in the wedding industry. Event producers, florists, photographers, videographers, property management, and everything in-between. The Summits are held all over the world annually, this year, they hosted attendees at the Rosewood London for an experience of a lifetime.

The events are layered in education, social, and cultural experiences. Theses summits have both attendees and speakers continuously interacting with each other throughout to bring forth real working relationships and allow everyone to engage candidly with one another. We enjoyed hearing from event design gurus such as Lynn Easton, Marcy Blum, and David Beahm.

During the evening events, we experienced one of a kind Opportunites such as a private party in Kensington Palace, a private after-party at one of Europe’s most exclusive clubs, Annabel’s, and a list of Royal Hall’s and Palaces that would make any head-of-state dizzy. The London Experience put forth by Sarah Haywood, and the Engage team was unforgettable. Although this list of over the top soirées was mind-blowing, my highest taken away were the intimate conversations I had with some of the people I respect most in the industry.

Christina and I had the opportunity to do a bit of exploring as well.  We had amazing Indian and Italian food.

I found out that life isn’t perfect; businesses all have struggles and aspirations that often take paths unforeseen. The top can be lonely, and that drive and ambition aren’t always all you need. Kindness, humility, compassion, and understanding are virtues that my peers showcased in being vulnerable during our late night cocktail chats. The list of incredible experiences in London is long, but these authentic connections are the very things I cherish the most. I can’t wait for next year.
